White Phase - done - check!!! :-)

First, I still haven't gotten a call... Nick has informed that some of the "boys" (that's what I call the ones messing up...haha!) have been messing up and getting the privileges taken away for everyone else. Nick was telling me that him and a few of his friends were talking about how that has been making them mad because this isn't high school anymore. This is in fact a life and death situation and these boys who aren't taken it seriously are the guys who I (meaning Nick) am going to need to trust to bring me back home to you (meaning me) and it's just been irritating because no matter how good they do, it only takes one person to take all that away and I guess it has been the same couple of guys every time.

So at this point the soldiers should have graduated from White Phase. A few letters ago Nick informed me that in this PT test, the guys who weren't cutting it would be restarted. So let's just say that both Nick and I are hoping that those guys who are messing up (the ones mentioned above) and getting the privileges taken away get restarted so that the other men can start to shine and get the things they deserve.

Part of the White Phase PT test is the BRM's qualifying test, which is his Rifle test. You have to hit so many of the targets to pass and then so many if you want to qualify for different levels. As soon as I know how he did, I'll let you all know!

Then now they have the 3 weeks of Blue Phase which is the last phase of Basic!!!!!! :-) YAY!! It is at the end of that phase that I have the chance of going down for their 36-hour pass!!!! :-) So I bought the plane ticket and will be going down on Friday June 4th and coming home on Monday June 7th! I have been joking with Nick that those boys better be on their best behavior because if they get this 36-hour pass taken away, the Drill Sergeants are going to seem tame compared to me and I'm sure the other wives who were planning on coming down to visit the men! hahahahaha! I'm hoping at that point that the boys are going to want this 36-hour pass so badly that they are going to do EVERYTHING in their power to not get it taken away! Or so I hope that is their mind frame!

I asked Nick to ask the men he has gotten close with (which is about 7 of them) what their favorite meals are because Nick has mentioned that there is a high chance he could be stationed together with some of the these guys. SO I need to know their favorite meals so I can find a recipe and learn them these men will probably be coming over to our home quite a bit (especially the ones who live in the barracks) and as a wife I will be providing the meals! haha!. So Nick and I talked about how I will have to talk to the other wives of the men who have one and we can all take turns doing meals like once a week!!! I AM SO EXCITED FOR THAT!!! hahahahaha!! Make my man proud! ;-)

This past Sunday (May 9th) had made 7 weeks since he left me and today (Wednesday,May 12th) has made 6 weeks since I last heard his precious voice. Let's just say that I will NEVER take something as simple as his voice for granted ever again! haha! I was really hoping to have gotten a call at this point but I have to always remember that the Lord has a plan for everything and I can not become anxious and have to trust in the path He is taking us down! Nick and I have both been expressing in our letters that this whole process has not only given has a whole new level of respect and love for each other but also a blossoming relationship with the Lord as well. We have become truly aware that is only thru Him that we are making it thru the day-by-day lifestyle of the military way.

My man is becoming an American Soldier and I could not be more proud to be his wife! I love you baby!!! Can't wait for you to come home!! From the day you joined to the day you retire I will always patiently wait for you to come home, safely in my arms once more!!
