So I believe the most difficult thing to do is plan a surprise party when the guest of honor is living at the house in which it is being planned! However!!! We did it! Although Jess currently lives with my in-laws, my mother-in-law, sister-in-law, her mom and I were able to pull of a surprise party of the decade! Jess walked in and was so surprised that he actually jumped!!! :-) It was a very gratifying feeling!!
My mother-in-law definitely knows how to plan games. While waiting for Jess, my mil (mother-in-law as I will refer to her now for short) made these posters with baby pictures of all the guests. The objective was to try to figure out who's baby picture was who. I WON!!!! and got Hazelnut coffee out of the deal!! WAHOO!!
Then once Jess got there we played another game where we had to cut a piece of string that we thought would fit around Jessa's belly! I lost that won really badly! However, Rita (Yana's mom where we had the shower) won perfectly!!!! :-) GO RITA!! However, we did get to eat while that game was going on! Always ALWAYS a favorite pass time of mine!
Then before we started presents we played one more fun thing, where we weighed all the ladies purses to see who's was the heaviest. I was tied with Yana's Aunt Ana. So I let her take the prize because I already won! Just because I carry my books and water and life in my purse does not mean it's a bad thing
Anyway!!! Enough about before the presents, let's get to during and after! Jess was SO blessed through the whole shower. The outpour of love, support and gifts in this family never ceases to amaze me! I seriously think between the three showers she's had, she will not need to buy ANYTHING else. I'm sooooooo happy for her and can't WAIT for my little niece of nephew to make their appearance!!!!

It WAS such a fun shower! You are absolutely right...Jess was blessed abundandtly! The games Kathy planned were alot of fun, too! Rita was an excellent hostess as well! It was a great day!
It was as much fun reading about it as being there. People never cease to amaze me on how generous they are to brides and expectant mothers. Even better then the gifts received was the fun of being with such wonderful people. I can say that, even though they were all family! Love, Mom F
