So as everyone knows, my husband will fight everyone with anything in sight when it comes to the suggestion of cutting his hair. So to my complete surprise, Nick comes and tells me that him and his father made some type of deal that for the next 6 months Nick is to cut his hair (slash keep it short/presentable). It just so happens that I also benefit from this "deal" because although I don't fight with my husband anymore about his hair, I DO however really want his hair short.
So last night we are attempting to use the "Flowbee" and for all you who don't know what that machine is it would be because it is totally a hippy thing. There is this cutter thing that you hook up to the vacuum and as you run it over your head it sucks up the hair and cuts it at the length in which you want giving it a perfectly even cut. . .supposedly!!! Yet, I have NEVER liked this thing because to me it doesn't make the hair look even at all but actually looks like you handed a 5-year-old a pair of regular scissors and told him to have at it. (I apologize to my father-in-law because he swears about this thing and uses it all the time.)
Anyway, we were about half way through cutting his hair with this "Flowbee" thing when he looks at me and says (to my complete surprise) "Alright, I have had enough of this, go buy some clippers we are shaving my head!" So, of course, I didn't hesitate and immediately grabbed my keys and walked out of the door before he could change his mind. I even "forgot" my phone so that he couldn't call and say nevermind. So I was able to find a really nice set, a Conair, for a really good price. And while I was at Wal-greens, I picked out his two favorite pieces of candy, Starburst and Skittles, because he is being such a good sport about cutting his hair.
As soon as I walk through the door we get to work. He choose a "level 3" shortness. It took me about a whole 10 minutes and as I step away, I am presented with the most handsome man I have seen in a really long time (besides maybe my wedding day ;-). He not only looks AMAZING, but he looks easily 6 years older!!!
Now if you could see me right now I am grinning from ear to ear swooning about every 5 minutes!!! :-)
I even did an even line at the base!!! :-)
The amount of hair that I shaved off!!!

Sigh, swoon........... Mom
Too busy sighing, I forgot to tell you, Kristina, that I LOVE the new layout of your blog. Very nice. Now, back to swooning.... Mom
Wow, he looks so... mature. Well that can't be right. We'll just say he looks OLD. Muahaha. ;)
LOVE the new look, Nick. And that's all I'll say to him on the matter otherwise he won't ever do it again ;). Great job with cutting his hair, Kristina...you're hired! For the next six months at least...
for the next 6 months Jess??? I'm hoping I can convince him to leave it like this I like it so much!!! :-)
i wouldn't count on that... of course it was after the haircut that i realized i we did this just in time for the winter months. Now I have to invest in a warm hat.
Nick...I am sure that either your mother or I would buy you that warm hat if it meant you kept you hair like this!!! ;-)
I've always really loved Nick's longer hair. So, in all honesty, I don't care for it short. But good job on the straight line in the back, Kristina.
Perhaps a nice in between his normal length and the length it is now would be good.
I'm always super disappointed when Steve has to cut his hair to stay within the AF regulations. sigh
Eden...we don't say things like that out loud!!! haha!! ;-)
